Royal Challengers Bengaluru to Refund RCB Unbox Live Streaming Fees

Refund RCB Unbox Live: Technical Glitches during RCB Unbox Event Lead to Fan Discontent

Bengaluru, March 22, 2024: In a gesture of accountability and goodwill towards its fans, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise has announced a full refund of the live streaming fees collected for the RCB Unbox event held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 19.

The highly anticipated annual event, which typically draws a large crowd of fans, encountered technical difficulties during its live streaming on the RCB app and website. The overwhelming demand from fans led to unexpected glitches, leaving many unable to access the event remotely.

Recognizing the inconvenience caused to its dedicated fan base, RCB swiftly addressed the issue by shifting the live stream to their official YouTube channel, providing relief to fans who were unable to access the event through other means.

“Dear RCB fan, due to extreme demand we faced issues with live streaming for RCB Unbox event. As a result, we are refunding everyone who paid for the live streaming of the event. Your refund has been processed. It must reflect in your payment account within 7 business days. Thank you for your cooperation and we will work hard to make your next experience seamless,” the statement read.

However, taking full responsibility for the technical malfunction, RCB released a statement on Thursday, March 21, announcing their decision to refund the INR 99 fee collected from fans for the live streaming service. The franchise expressed regret for the disruption and assured fans that steps would be taken to ensure a seamless experience in future events.
